Empowering Women in Póker

The impression that poker games are mainly dominated by male players still exists today. Some of the big poker tournaments in the industry are still male-dominated and do not have specific regulations for their players. In addition, there are events that are exclusively geared towards male poker players. The female player community continues to make its own mark on the world of poker and the growing number of female poker players makes us realize that poker is a game for everyone.

Poker Powher, a women-run company that teaches women to develop and develop their skills through the game of poker, is hosting Women's History Month with a free global online poker tournament for women. The event will be played on the world's leading online poker site, PokerStars.net and will be hosted in collaboration with World College Poker (WCP), which is an online portal focusing on education and onboarding new players.

The world poker tournament is open to all women over 18 years of age and will take place on March 27, 2021. Main prizes include a Cancun vacation package provided by PLOQuickPro.com, individual lessons with the best poker professionals, PokerCoaching.com's Jonathan Little and World College Poker Head Coach Alex Fitzgerald, and a ladies-only poker night donated by Poker Powher.

The event will feature the presence of leading poker professionals such as Melanie Weisner and Xuan Liu to comment and play with rewards on the head. The tournament will also be streamed on YouTube and, prior to the event, Poker Powher and World College Poker will also host a Poker 101 webinar on the World College Poker YouTube channel.

Poker Powher a Company Run By Women for Women

Poker Powher was founded in 2020 and is a company run by women for women seeking a change in the male dominated card game and empowering women of all ages to become the leaders of tomorrow.

The company started with the goal of teaching one million women to play poker. Through a global network of clubs, tournaments and corporate events, Poker Powher uses the game to build trust, learn strategies and assess risks. By empowering women with these skills, we can change the future for generations to come.

Poker Powher CEO and CEO Erin Lydon said the company is committed to helping women build their skills through teaching and practicing the game of poker. As for the tournament, leading poker teachers and professionals will be present at the table to inspire women everywhere to play this revolutionary card game.

Ladies International Poker Series

The Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) is considered one of the largest gaming organizations today supporting some of the aspiring female players to make a name for themselves in the world of poker. The site hosts women-only poker events in some regions of the United States such as Nevada and Florida. She also managed a few events during Battle of the Sexes Champions that produced some of the best female poker players in the industry today.

The First Major Women-Only Poker Event

The industry's first major women-only poker event was a seven-card stud tournament during the 1977 World Series of Poker, where the best female poker players compete against each other. Today's WSOP seven card stud tournaments offer a $ 1,000 pot value for their players. It has also become a mixed seven-card stud event, as well as a game of limit hold'em, for its growing female poker players.

Another major poker tournament in the industry that hosts women-only poker games is the World Poker Tour. They host their own Invitational Ladies Night, featuring six of the most talented female poker players competing in this winner-take-all event. In addition, WPT Ladies Night offers large amounts of cash prizes for its participants.
