BetMGM and its marketing initiatives in North America

MGM Resorts announces that BetMGM, its sports betting and gaming entertainment company, has signed a multi-year brand ambassador contract with Wayne Gretzky, former National Hockey League (NHL) legend and four-time Stanley Cup champion. Gretzky will collaborate with BetMGM on its planned marketing initiatives in the North America region. The Canadian superstar considered the best hockey player in history with 61 unique NHL records, the all-time leader in goals and assists with 2,857 points in 21 seasons, is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame commonly known as "The Big One".

Matt Prevost, Director of Revenue for BetMGM, commented on Wayne and said that he is an exceptional talent that transcends the world of sports. They pride themselves on hosting the player on the BetMGM team and believe he has a unique ability to tell the story of the brand.

On the deal, Gretzky stated that BetMGM is a great company, which is at the forefront of dynamic changes in the sports industry and is excited to be part of the company's expansion plans to new uncharted territories.

BetMGM continues to grow

Last month, BetMGM officially announced its partnership with NYRA Bets, a leading provider of horse racing content and betting platform for the New York Racing Association. The company will use the NYRA Bets betting platform for its horse-racing app, available on iOS and Android mobile devices, as well as desktop computers.

In the same month, the company became an official partner of the Baltimore Raven, signing a multi-year collaboration agreement with the team. The BetMGM brand will be visible on all media content and channels and at the M&T Bank Stadium, where the company will have a private suite. The BetMGM app will feature all of the team's special promotions and campaigns and will offer fans access to co-branded promotions and horse racing on more than 200 tracks around the world.

BetMGM's expansion plans into the professional sports arena continue, in March the company became the official gaming partner of The Detroit Tigers, signing a multi-year agreement.

BetMGM integrates GameSense to improve responsible gaming

Focused on its growth and expansion into new territories in the US and Canada, BetMGM has not forgotten its mission to promote responsible gaming. In April 2021, BetMGM announced in a press release that its iGaming and online betting platform would see the integration of GameSense, a responsible gaming program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

With this collaboration, BetMGM became the first iGaming platform in the US to integrate and use this program. Full integration of the innovative responsible gaming program on the BetMGM platform is expected to be completed later this year. GameSense uses educational resources on responsible gaming along with tools and support for each player to help them make an informed decision and play responsibly.
