Big Time Gaming is the latest addition to Evolution Gaming Group's growing portfolio of assets
Live Casino specialist Evolution Gaming announced this week that it has signed a deal to buy online casino game developer Big Time Gaming (BTG) in a 450 million euro deal. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close during the second quarter of the year.
The company announced that it would pay 220 million euros in initial consideration for BTG, 80 million euros payable in cash and the remainder in newly issued shares in the expanded group. You will make profit payments based on the EBITDA of the slot study for 2022/23 and 2023/24, respectively, up to a maximum of 230 million euros. The transaction will be payable 70% in cash and 30% in newly issued Evolution shares.
Evolution set to expand
After adding Swedish online slot powerhouse NetEnt to its ranks late last year, Evolution is now ready to further expand its business by choosing another major slot manufacturer. The live online casino provider said this acquisition will be a positive step in its financing for 2021, due to Big Time Gaming's position as an online slots developer. Jens von Bahr, the president of Evolution, sees the inclusion of the slot company in the provider's portfolio as a way to strengthen the company's strategic position as the world's leading provider of digital casino games.
